The Literature Lamp

The Literature Lamp was incorporated with an objective to provide a decent platform to new writers and therefore we welcome all your writing stuff with OPEN HANDS.

We believe the Literature to be eternal and so your content. But a recent trend of posting our writings on social media has taken the wrong route. We are upset when a writer's content is judged on the basis of likes and comments, and we even feel bad when a new writer, in spite of having skillful and exemplary content is abandoned to get recognized from people. The situation gets worse when due to lack of recognition, likes, and comments, the immortal literature of new writers get buried in the darkness of anonymity under thousands of posts. This was really bad, but it is further added when you see your content is copied by someone else, and is posted on his wall without your name and has got a fair recognition as if it belongs to him and you feel completely ignored. It's plagiarism and factually unethical and not acceptable at all, but people still do.

To recognize marvelous writers amongst us, to bring their content up for the readers with their name, to prevent plagiarism i.e. copy of precious content, to help the literature to live forever, and to preserve your writings on the internet forever with your name, We are here to provide a decent platform to The Literature Lamp holders and thereby create a beautiful family cum community of writers and readers.

Here, Your content will be published on the official website, e-magazines, e-newsletters, etc time to time, distinguished by a separate link to the content, accessible always, at all times which will be provided to you. The Link will consist of your name and content title for forever. Further, all your content submitted from time to time would be grouped with the common texts of your name in the link.  With this, it can even be searchable on search engines (like google) via appropriate keywords subject to their policies. Also, your content will be promoted through our social media platforms. And thus we aim to make the literature eternal.

    50 Rupees

50 Rupees It was a normal day. I am still working in the office. Office is quiet and second's needle of the pendulum clock is clearly audible. My colleagues have departed at office time, 6:30 pm, around one and a half hour before. I'm engaged in an unusual assignment, which is though tedious in nature but is really interesting to me. I recently joined this office as a part of compulsory training stipulated with the accounting course, I am pursuing. Considering my interests, I've been allotted this fascinating assignment. My colleagues are used to my late workings. Even the old peon has left me alone, half an hour before. In the early days, he used to instruct me daily to switch off the lights, close gates properly, but now he is so habitual of my late workings, that he just says, hey, I'm going, you please lock the office. Well, I'm the only person in the office of  2500 sq. ft., on the third floor. My office had only three cabins, a reception area...

    2:43 am

02:43 AM I had been having a few bizarre nightmares from the last couple of nights. Now I could not sleep anymore, I can't deal with them. It's 2:12 in the night, it has been almost 4 hours I am using mobile phone right after the dinner and now I am feeling tired & fully exhausted with almost everything. I threw my phone on the bed, put my wireless in my ears and played a random song and started roaming in my room. Lights are still off, as I locked the mobile phone the only light in the room also turned off. I opened the curtains in the hope of getting moonlight in the room. But even the night was moonless. It's been almost an hour when I took a sleeping pill. The study shows it takes 30 to 45 mins for a pill to work on a normal person. Now I became so used to of taking those pills regularly, I guess they are not working in my system anymore. It's 2:42 in the night now, I can feel my eyelids becoming heavier and heavier, hour by hour. But no sleep ...
